Astoria Hotel Kraków

If you like the ambience of a super modern city and live surrounded by skyscrapers, the Astoria isn't a hotel for you. It boasts an excellent location in Krakow's second most attractive spot after the Market Square - the Kazimierz. The district has a great ambience of a bygone era and its tourist attractions consist of old Jewish synagogues, as well as art galleries and cozy pubs, which are springing up like mushrooms all over the place. The Astoria, which has been open for only 6 years, offers us well-maintained rooms, including family studios and apartments. Thanks to the hotel's superb location, we can concentrate on sightseeing in the city, but also when we have some free time, use the hotel's sauna and gym. The price for a three-star hotel in such location is superb.

Rooms

We certainly won’t feel crowded here - 33 rooms is just the right number if we want some peace and a cozy ambience. We can select a room best suited to our needs – a family studio, a spacious (50 square meters) apartment or a standard double. Every room comes equipped with satellite TV, radio, telephone and a bathroom with bathtub.
Cleanliness is one of the most important advantages of the functionally, although not overly creatively arranged rooms. If we’re lucky enough to have a choice, it’s better not to check into a noisier room facing the street.
An undeniable plus is air-conditioning throughout the hotel.
There are smoking and non-smoking rooms.
The hotel accepts pets.

Restaurant

The restaurant is another not too large, but quite cozy place in the hotel. Breakfasts, served in the form of a buffet with quite a good selection of hors d’oeuvres, as well as yogurt and juices, provide a sizable dose of energy for the entire day. Later, during dinner and supper time, we can select from quite an interesting menu filled with Polish and international delicacies, allowing us to take off on a culinary journey. During the summer it’s possible to have ameal in the garden.

Conferences

The Astoria is not a typical business hotel, which doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to organize a meeting for a larger number of people there – quite contrary.
The hotel is equipped with a multi-function, air-conditioned conference room with a sound system, which can accommodate up to 60 persons. The price of the conference room rental includes basic equipment (flipchart, screen, transparency projector) and additional equipment is available on request for an extra charge.

Additional services

Drivers can leave their cars in an underground car park. Parking spaces must be reserved in advance and good maneuverability skills are necessary as the car park doesn’t leave much room for possible mistakes. The cost is about 40 PLN for 24 hours.
Being so close to Krakow’s most precious attractions doesn’t leave us much free time. However, if for some reason we’re sitting bored in our room, it’s worth considering going to the hotel’s sauna and gym.
The list of other services offered by the Astoria to its guests also isn’t short: ironing, laundry service, free safe and lockers at the front desk and left luggage. Additionally, it’s possible to use the hotel’s shop and babysitting services are available for parents.

The Astoria can be proud of its location – it is in the very heart of the beautiful Kazimierz district.
It only takes 10 minutes on foot to reach the Wawel Castle.
An easy stroll to the Market Square takes twice as long.
It’s also possible to take a tram and get off at the fourth stop.

The location is also perfect if we’re planning to eat out on the town or do some shopping. There are innumerable pubs, restaurants and shops, as well as the huge shopping and service center – Galeria Kazimierz.
It’s worth visiting the Nowy Square where a variety of unusual things is being sold – something similar to a flea market.

The airport is located 12 kilometers away.
