Three star Floryan hotel is a quite a new (opened in 2000) hotel located in a historical apartment house from the 16th century, so called "G³owiñska" house (after one of the historical owners). At the beginning of the house’s existence the entrance the building was in the other side than nowadays and it led through the stone stairs and then a stone cellar. In the 20th century the house was reconstructed. The entrance was forged on the other side of the building, the apartments were adapted for the hotel rooms and there is a hotel’s restaurant in the basement nowadays.
The Floryan Hotel is located in close proximity to the St. Florian Gate not far from the Main Market of the Krakow’s Old Town. Thanks to that fact it remains close to almost all interesting events and attractions that appear in Krakow throughout the year. The Floryan Hotel is a favorite place for all those travelers who are looking for accommodation in the center of Krakow in pleasant interiors.
You can easily communicate in English and Polish at the reception desk. If necessary there should be no problem with communicating in German either.

Rooms

There are 21 rooms (54 beds) including double rooms (including 4 of a higher standard), triple and quadruple rooms in the Floryan Hotel. Actually, we can talk about rooms only as far as the standard ones are concerned. The equipment here is neat, but still far from being rich and the rooms are sometimes far from being spacious. A bed, a wardrobe and sometimes even a leather armchair will satisfy anyone seeking an accommodation in reasonable conditions.
The rooms of a higher standard really do represent the higher standard. Each of those rooms waiting for the Krakow visitors is in fact a little (or maybe not so little in fact) apartment. Every room is arranged in a different way. The spacious apartments in the loft will provide every, even the more demanding guests with comfortable relaxation. All of the rooms are equipped with TVset and telephone. All the rooms are air-conditioned.
As far as the bathrooms are concerned their size and standard depends on the size and standard of the room. In the rooms of a higher standard the bathrooms are more spacious and more modern. In the smaller ones the bathrooms are also smaller and equipped with standard utilities necessary for comfortable living.

Restaurant

In the cellar of the Floryan Hotel, there is a charming Vesuvio restaurant located. Medieval interiors, stone walls, medieval-like wooden tables and semicircular passages between the restaurant rooms make a magical impression, add to the charm of the place you simply want to stay in.
The kitchen of the Vesuvio restaurant offers the meals from the Polish and Italian cuisine. The specialty of the house is pizza from the wood fired stone stove. There is a really huge choice of pizza and additionally it is quite inexpensive. The restaurant is a perfect place for an evening meeting with friends and a spending time with them over a mug of beer or "grzaniec", i.e. hot wine or beer, which seems to be just right for a freezing, winter day. If you are not hungry enough to order pizza, there is a wide selection of snacks, sandwiches or grilled meal, have tea or coffee or order a glass of wine. In the TV-sets hanging under the ceiling you can watch the most important up-to-date cultural and sport events. The restaurant is not very expensive and it will surely not hurt your finances. For example, a big (0,5liter) mug of beer costs 6,5 PLN (about 1,5 EURO). There are special discounts for the guests of the Floryan Hotel, valid with the hotel’s card.
The restaurant is open seven days a week, from 11am til 11 pm. There is enough space for up to 50 people.
