The Fortuna Bis Hotel is located near its sister hotel Fortuna, but a little closer to Krakow's Blonia. It's a bit newer, which is obvious from both the exterior of the hotel, as well as its renovated interior.
Strong point of the Fortuna is certainly its location - a walk to the Old Town, Wawel Hill or the Kazimierz district takes no more than 5-7 minutes. Its own parking in a location so close to the city's centre is also an important feature.
Additionally, privacy and a nice porch, where you can relax or wait for your travel mate while sitting at a table in shade. During summer, the porch is decorated with a multitude of flowers hanging from balconies.
Rooms are basically equipped, simple and functional, quite decent for the price, the best of which are those facing the porch.
Unfortunately, there's no lift or facilities for the handicapped.

Rooms

The hotel is quite small - it has only 23 rooms. There are singles, doubles, triples and 2 apartments.
Although Fortuna Bis is located in a renovated 19th-century building, its interior is equipped in a simple, functional manner - we won't find any attempt at stylization.
All the rooms have their own baths with shower. Their size, just like the size of rooms, can be described as „just right”. Table, desk, TV set - this is the basic equipment, which we'll see there.
The apartments are large, arranged in a manner allowing for large amount daylight.
Some rooms have balconies (small, in the summer wonderfully decorated with flowers) facing a quiet porch. They're worth having, because it will protect us from noise coming from the street.

Smoking room, which I happened to occupy was one big ashtray, I don't remember its number, although its windows directly faced the porch. Probably even the most avid smokers wouldn't stay there long.

Unfortunately, there's no lift or facilities for the handicapped.
Additionally, the layout of corridors and rooms sometimes makes us feel like we're in a labyrinth.
Generally, taking into account the price and the location, this is a good offer. The hotel provides decent accommodation, however, the rooms are quite ordinary and don't have enough charm to spend additional time in them.

Restaurant

Restaurant is small and painted in bright colors, which make it seem even smaller, but also give it a warm atmosphere.
Juicy orange, paintings and various gadgets give it a faraway, hot flavor and suggest that the menu also features something exotic. That's because, the restaurant specialises in African cuisine.
However, it's not a problem to remain closer to European tastes - the restaurant also serves Polish cuisine.

Additional Services

There's no problem with parking - guarded parking spaces are located in the courtyard. The area is closed off; what's more, some rooms are facing that side. The parking is inexpensive - 24 hours cost 20 PLN.

Front desk agents gladly help if you need a taxi to provide a ride to the hotel, rent a car or organize an excursion around Krakow and its vicinity.
