Karmel Hotel, Krakow

Formerly a Jewish district of Kraków, Kazimierz is a quarter of art galleries, restaurants and bars. This is a place where artist and intellectuals meet.

Newly reconstructed historical building of the Karmel Hotel has a charming character. There are only little over 10 rooms and that is why the place is not too crowded and calms with its peaceful atmosphere.

Beautiful interiors of the Italian restaurant "Pepe Rosso" invite us to try delicious specials of Italian cuisine.
We can choose from standard rooms (one or two persons), higher standard rooms and apartments designed in the style of Louis XVI. The rooms are spacious and clean, but need some modernization, which started while back and will be finished soon.
Individual tourist will find a quiet harbor at the Karmel. Executive or tourist groups should choose a larger hotel.

The personnel is very helpful and speak good English.

Rooms

There are 23 places in single, double or triple rooms.
They include comfort rooms equipped with mini-bar, a two-room studio and one apartment.
All rooms are equipped with shower, Satellite TV, radio and internet access.
Interior design is antique-styled and it is new like the hotel.
Peacefulness, nice interiors and the price all are positive aspects of the hotel.

For a family or two couples traveling together the best idea is the two-room studio with a separate hallway and a shared bathroom.

The negative aspect of the Karmel is a large number of the stairs, which guests need to climb on the way to their room. There is no elevator at the hotel and this is why we cannot recommend the Karmel for handicapped people.

Restaurant

Located in a spacious basement of the hotel, the Italian restaurant "Pepe Rosso" invites with an excellent choice of wines and delicious meals. The interior is designed in pastel tones and very elegant. Separate gallery is perfect for a candle-lighted romantic dinner.

Additional Services

The personnel of the Karmel Hotel is happy to arrange sightseeing tours of Krakow and its surrounding area, provide tourist information, reserve tickets for museums and cultural events.
Monitored Parking is 250 meters away for the hotel, but travelers can leave the car right by the hotel.
The hotel has its own safe-box at the reception.

The Karmel Hotel is located in the Kazimierz. This formerly Jewish district of Kraków has plenty of historical buildings and monuments. The hotel is located in a newly renovated, historical 19th century building.

The nearby "Plac Nowy" - New Square, has many restaurants, bars and stores.
It is also the home of a flea market where treasure hunters can find very interesting relics of the past.

Many city buses and trams provide good transportation to city center, bus and train stations. The bus and trams stops are located on the streets near the hotel.

A walk to the Wawel - castle of the Polish Kings takes about 10 minutes and to the Old Town about 15 minutes.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations can be made 3 days or earlier prior to the guest's arrival to the hotel without any charges.
Later cancellations or no-show will require charging for the first night.
